Common questions

I don't see incidents from my county.

The app covers Baltimore City plus Baltimore, Anne Arundel, Howard, and Harford counties. In Settings you can set a Default Starting County and choose whether to Filter by Starting County. If filtering is on, turn it off to see everything, or switch your starting county.

The map or search results seem off or empty.

Check Settings → Map & Search Filtering — county filtering or a custom map start position can narrow what you see. You can reset the map's starting position there too.

Location isn't working.

Distance-based features use your location. Set location access to While Using the App for Baltimore Fire Alerts in your device Settings.

How do I manage or restore my subscription?

Premium and Premium+ are billed through the App Store or Google Play. Manage or cancel from your store account, and use Restore Purchases in the app if a paid feature isn't unlocking.

Is this an official Baltimore City service?

No. Baltimore Fire Alerts is an independent app and is not affiliated with any government agency. Always call 911 for emergencies — the app is for situational awareness, not emergency reporting.

How do you handle my data?

See the Privacy Policy for a full breakdown of what's collected, why, and who it's shared with.
